The information in that part of the site is being updated for 2007 season. At a moment You can read about our early history: below is the 2001' version of the English digest page. Many years passed, many things happened... At a moment on the base of our website the Rally&Russia agency is formed, that is covering all the main rally events in the country, also paying attention to the international events - WRC etc. Best rally photographers are working with our agency, so there is always a plenty of interesting shots on our pages.

This year our country is making the significant step to the international rallying - the "Rally of Russia" (former "Rally Vyborg") became the round of the IRC series. So it is high time again to give some information for our visitors abroad! We are planning to publish brief English reviews of the main national events on our website and also launching the "Russian Rally Championship" website (under construction until mid-January). For those, who can more or less read in Russian, the other projects of our agency could be of interest. They would give You an imagination of all the levels of rallying in our country - National Championship, National Cup, Clubman National Cup. Or simply watch a plenty of rally photos (find Russian "Фотогалереи" or "Фото") at:

- the website of the "White Nights" ("Belye Nochi") rally - one of the oldest and significant rally in the country, the Russian Rally Championship ("premier league", FIA classes) event

- Clubman Rally of the North-West Russia - Hundreds of rally enthusiasts have their own "Clubman" series of about 20 rounds

Thanks to Sandman's Motorsport pages we have now (since September 1999) the first link from abroad. This is an experiment for us, so we really need Your response to evaluate the interest to Russian motorsport. Also the great thanks to Ralli.Net site for the second link.

Our pages exist since early 1999 and now hold the strong first position (according to the main Russian catalogues) among the web sites which are dedicated to domestic rallies. These pages are held by the group of people, for whom motorsports are more then simple interest - it is our profession, so on these pages You can see the "sight from the inside" to Russian car competitions. It seems that now we are the only one site, which started to provide the local information in English.

We don't reduce our interests within the range of St. Petersburg, where we live, and try to get and give to our visitors as much information from different parts of Russia as possible. But the country is big and motorsport activities are spreaded all over it, so we now can not cover all the territory and events, so we still prefer to keep this name and give more, than to take "a global" name, but give less.

The main events, which are under our attention are: National Rally Championship and Cup series, National Circuit racing series (Championship and Cup), some winter series, dirt-track races, rally-sprint, some off-road events and

privateers (club) rallies and sprints. Less covered are cross, rally-cross (which are not so well developed in our region) and karting series, but one day we hope...

We also cover WRC events, but we have the personal opportunity to visit only very few of them, making the other reports on the base of the official FIA, events' and teams' press-releases. They say we have the most detailed WRC reports in Russia, but we don't believe they would be of real interest to foreign visitors - You can get information from the "first hands". If You don't have the relative URL's - see our "Links" section, when it would be completed.

Now we would like to get Your opinion. We hardly believe that from the very beginning we should have the mass interest from all over the world - for most of You it is only some kind of exotic. So, primarily we should prepare only brief description of the events and make links to our Russian pages, where the relative images are placed. Which would be the future? Wider reports? Mailing list? Personal ordering of information? Full-size transcription or simply nothing - depends on You! All the information here is someone's copyright. Sometimes in WRC reports we have to use the images from foreign sites, referring to the sources in the texts. Most of the pictures are the work of local photographers, and the texts are of our own or our friends - motorsport journalists.
